The 2008 Hummer H2 offers a monstrous 6.2L, 393-horsepower V8 engine which boosts its power by 20 percent over the previous year model. The towing capacity has also been significantly increased to over 8000 lbs. With all this, GM has still managed to achieve better fuel mileage over the previous year model due to improvements in technology.
The 6-speed Hydramatic transmission allows the driver to tap-up or tap-down for manual gear selection. Safety features include roof rail head curtain air bags for first, second and third-row passengers.
